The Curriculum
Natomas Pacific Pathways Prep’s curriculum features law themed courses and a structured college prep schedule for each grade level. In addition to the standard required course, students at NP3 will have the opportunity to participate in dynamic extra curricular activities.

Co-Curriculur Activities
Mentoring
NP3 students are invited to participate in a mentorship program with students from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. Students are individually matched with a law student mentor to build an educational, social, and supportive relationship.
Moot Court and Mock Trial
NP3 students participate in the Center for Youth Justice’s Moot Court and Mock competition. Students research and develop a trial strategy and arguments and then compete with other local high schools at the Sacramento County Courthouse.
A Day At Pacific
NP3 students travel to the University of the Pacific’s Stockton campus to participate in the daily activities of a current college student. The students receive a tour, participate in actual college lectures, and visit with current UOP students.
Minority Law Day at Pacific McGeorge
NP3 students travel to the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law where the students attend law courses, tour the campus and meet current law students.
Internships
During their junior and senior years of high school, NP3 students are invited to participate in a semester long internship. These internships give students the opportunity to participate in the legal and public policy fields while gaining hands-on experience and knowledge.
Operation Protect & Defend
A local Sacramento essay contest allowing students to write on a current legal issue and meet with local judges and attorneys.
National Law Day
A national event sponsored by the American Bar Association. The event includes student contest, guest speakers, and a variety of law related activities.
Distinguished Speakers
Guest speakers form McGeorge School of Law are invited to meet and speak with students at NP3. These speakers include well-known legal scholars, lawyers, and judges.
